We are excited to be offering this as our first Tanzania Peaberry and we’re looking forward to sharing this with you!  Years ago I roasted a selection of Tanzanian coffees and there is so much to learn about this area of the world (and a lot of diverse flavors as well!).

This lot was brought to us by about 220 family farmers from several local villages who are served by the Sombezi washing station (recently converted to the name Masangula in 2018). The farmers deliver their coffee as cherry and it is depulped throughout the afternoon and evening. Then it is graded in water channels and soaked for 24–36 hours for fermentation. After washing, it's soaked for an additional 8–12 hours, and then dried on tables for one to two weeks.
